For the novice player, Craps may seem a little bit overwhelming. It has a lot of possible bets and not all of them are easy to understand for the inexperienced player. Casinos like Craps tables because big gamblers usually play Craps. The amount of money that one single Craps table sees is amazing. Chips of all denominations are placed in the betting area, and as fast as they come, they also go. Despite of this, the Craps have the better odds, mainly because Casinos don’t want to loose those big players.

For the Shooter the main objective is to throw a seven or an eleven on the first roll (known as a Win) but avoiding shooting a two, a three or a twelve (know as a Loss) If none of this numbers is rolled (In the Come-out roll) the number that has been rolled becomes the Point and is the number against the player plays. Once the Point is established, the Shooter plays until the Point or a seven is rolled. If the first to come out is the Point, the player wins, but if a seven is rolled before the Point, the players looses. The betting of the game is not restricted to the Shooter only. The Shooter has to place a bet to be allowed to roll, but anyone at the table can place a bet on the outcome of the toss. They can be with the Shooter (He will win) or with the House (He will lose)

Betting options are several; one of the attractions of Craps, another one is the speed of the game.

At a regular Craps table there are four Casino Clerks, which are:

- Dealers (two) they settle the bets help the players in any matter and keep track of the action.
- Stickman (one) He/she assist the Dealers, he keeps an eye on the dice and takes care of the central table.. Box man (one) He/she’s the one that guards the chips, checks the payoffs and sees now one cheats.
Like in all the Casino games, the first thing the player has to do is place a bet..

Any player can bet, regardless who is the shooter. Player can wager in favor of the shooter (He will win) or in favor of the House (the shooter will lose). Players don’t have to roll the dice themselves to wager. If a player doesn’t want to be the shooter, he simple says no to the offer the dealer asks regularly. If he wants to shoot the dice, the dealer will handle the player six dice, from which the new shooter will select two. Those are the dice he will roll for the rest of his turn. To avoid cheating, Casinos have some rules:

  1. Before the rolling the shooter can’t touch the dice, and when rolling he can’t use both hands.
2. . The roll must be hard enough for the dice to bounce on the end of the table. If the dice bounce off the table, the dealer will offer the player some more dice to choose.
If a seven or eleven comes out at the first roll, the shooter wins, but if a two, three or twelve comes out on the first roll the shooter loses. If any other number comes out, the Point is established and becomes the goal for the shooter. Once the Pint is set, the shooter rolls the dice until the Point or a seven are rolled. If the Point is rolled before the seven, the shooter wins, but if the shooter rolls a seven before the Point, he loses. The turn of the shooter will end when he loses his bet, when that happens, the dealer will pass the dice to the next player (clockwise).

This is a game with a lot of options when it comes to bet. To make it easier on the beginner, bets are divided in three major categories:
  1. Basic Bets are the easier and most popular when it comes to bet because of it simplicity.
  2. Odds Bets Tcan be made after the Point has been established. They can make the player win big!
  3. One Roll Bets are made before a roll, and after it the player knows if he has win or lose.
Another betting variation is that players can bet with the shooter or with the House.

The Basic Bets are four:Pass Line Bets / Don't Pass Bets These bets are made before the first roll and can be with or against the shooter.Come Bets / Don't Come Bets These bets are made when the Point has been established. The odds for this bet are the same that for the Pass/don’t pass bets This is the chart for the bets:
